It's adorable to hear her randomly announce in her toddler voice that she's going to be an archeologist. It explains important concepts in language kids can understand. Good book! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from ArchaeoMom -- Fills a Void : If you look for other archaeology books for kids, they are all either too complicated, or on mummies or dinosaurs (archaeologists do not dig dinosaurs, those are paleontologists). This book works for a wide range of kids, younger kids can be read to and enjoy the amazing artwork, and more advanced 3rd grade and up readers could read to themselves. The book was written by an archaeologist and actually gives a fun overview of what archaeology is. The circular story-telling from a young girl interested in the world and how she learned about and become an archaeologist, to her as an adult answering questions of a very similar interested girl helps show kids that they too could become an archaeologist. If you have a kid who is at all interested in the topic or just the natural world, this is probably the best book out there for them. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2021 )
